Ayyyyyyyy….
From Hei’s blog:
The “Things of Little Consequence” Meme
I have not worn contacts very long, so I don’t really recall how I used to remove them, but I guess it would be right first then left, because the right was always easier to remove. I wear my right sock before my left, and slip in my right shoe before my left.
I don’t have a particular favourite fruit. I used to think it was the watermelon, but that was at a time when I didn’t get to eat it much. Maybe I’ll go out on a limb and say the kiwi fruit, but I have yet to learn how to choose them properly in the supermarket. Other fruits I love only because I eat them so often include apples (red only, please) and pears (I prefer them a little overripe). Not crazy about Sunkist oranges, but once I start with mandarin oranges at Chinese New Year I don’t stop. Often. I prefer Sunkist juices, and apple juice tops that list.
I actually love tinned food. Luncheon meat is a perennial fave, maybe because I don’t eat it often. Corned beef rocks. I know they’re all processed food, but so is McDonalds. Canned food’s cheaper too - especially those Narcissus button mushrooms. Yummy.
The time between bed and door every morning is half an hour, if I’m late. Without any music to listen to on the hour long ride to school, I have lost the ability to smile. Unless I get a message from someone I don’t expect - which, unfortunately, means everyone but my mother. God. I have missed several classes this semester, but have religiously gone for the ones I intend to score in. Not the right attitude, I know. I normally drink the Jasmine tea from the Canteen A drinks stall, and that’s only when I pass by it. It costs 30cents for a cup, so I don’t complain. I used to wear just about anything that caught my eye, but now I’m sticking to mostly blue or black tops. Once in a while it’s green. It mostly depends on if I can remember the last time I wore it.
I have never kissed a girl on the lips. I don’t remember the first time I kissed a girl on any other part of her body though. Don’t get nasty thoughts now. I last kissed a girl on the forehead in 2004. Not mentioning names. This part of the meme is depressing enough as it is.
I have extremely low tolerance for Indians. I know this makes me racist, and I hate the thought of being racist, but they just get to me. More often than not, I am relieved to find an Indian that doesn’t have a pungent smell, doesn’t talk in loud voices and doesn’t get in everyone’s personal space, even though these are probably the norm. Meeting the boisterous ones in an MRT are the worst, because I squirm like there’s no tomorrow.
I can’t tell a lot about a girl’s personality and grooming habits just by looking at them. However, I do judge them based on the the way they do their hair. Even in the hustle and bustle of University, I’m amazed at those who actually take the time to tie it up, brush it down, or simply accessorise. I think it says a lot about a person if they bother to do their hair up. Guys do it, girls should too.
I think every song has something going for it. I simply choose not to listen to songs that elude me on every level. Unfortunately, this broad stroked look at the music world makes me quite the Top 40 person.
I appreciate choral music and theatre as an artform. I think it’s the absolute way of displaying a person’s genius. If I could afford it, I would catch every play and choir performance possible. Unfortunately, my financial situation means that I’m limited to movies, which isn’t quite the same. I hate pop concerts. I think they’re a waste of money. Maybe it’s because the artistes I support aren’t touring this region. I wish I had a montage of all the great artworks of history across my wall.
I should really be doing my assignment now.

You scored as Buddhism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one’s spiritual worth is not based on birth.
Which religion is the right one for you? (new version) |
I thought the test was a little skewed, so I’m just glad it deems me to be a generally religious person (though 30% atheist) with majority beliefs in three of the four major religions in Singapore. Needless to say, I’m hardly surprised to be found more “Buddhist” because I’ve always felt that the spiritual worth of a person is equally shared by all, and that seems to be the focus of the test creator.

I think I’d have to agree with the skew - There definitely are “correct” answers.

So which one did you get?

You’ll find out soon, once I actually click “publish”, but otherwise, like I said, it’s pretty obvious how to “aim” for something.
