… and what an enjoyable year it’s been for me and one with many ‘firsts’.

Off the top of my head, I’ve had my first Halloween celebration, my first time dressing up in a Star Trek uniform (more on that in a future post), my first time performing with a REAL band (not a makeshift one thrown together for a musical), my first mission trip EVER to Tanjung Balai, my first time seeing the Pope in person and visiting all sorts of cathedrals and churches in Rome and Barcelona. First time working in a law firm and first time stepping foot in the Supreme Court and the Subordinate Courts. First time meeting a celebrity blogger (namely Izzy) and author extraordinaire Gerrie Lim. First time playing a religious figure in a musical and first time clubbing with a priest (no names though… that’s scandal enough).

So here’s to what was, one new experience after another… and here’s to what is to come… a new year of surprises, good and bad.

We turn 25 in 2007!

I’m dumber than direcow and Alanna. No news there.

It’s funny when you think about it. For the first time in a long time, I’m actually busy in December, but it has nothing to do with CSA. Right now, I’m typing this at home while the rest of CSA is (hopefully) present at the second Joint University Retreat. I feel like a graduate already, with only time to drop by after work tomorrow and enjoy the climax of the three days.

Working life is strange, but it’s also given me perspective. It’s definitely reinforced my love for office-based environments and for doing tech support. But it’s also a strong indication that I need to be appreciated at work… even if it’s doing small favours for others. I subsist on attention, and will probably DIE if I don’t receive it.

How many jobs can offer me that?

Due to a corrupted database on our server, I’ve lost at least one month’s worth of comments. Which isn’t that big a deal I guess, since I still have a pretty good idea of what they said. For now. Anyway… technology stinks when you can’t control it. Heh.
